Gauhati High Court has released a notification for the requirement of Stenographer. Online applications are invited from the citizens of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for fling up of the following vacancies of Stenographer Grade-II and Stenographer Grade-III in the district courts of Assam.

Gauhati High Court Recruitment Details

1. Stenographer (Grade-II)

No. of Posts: 34

Pay scale: Rs.22000- Rs.97000+ GP Rs.9700/- plus other allowances applicable as per rules.

2. Stenographer (Grade-III)

No. of Posts: 96

Pay Scale: Rs.14000- Rs.60500+ GP Rs.7400/- plus other allowances applicable as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria of Gauhati High Court Stenographer Recruitment

Educational & Other Qualification:

1. For Stenographer (Grade-II):

i) The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC recognized University as on the date of advertisement.

ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.

iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.

iv) The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam.

2. For Stenographer (Grade-III)

i) Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/ Council/ University as on the date of advertisement.

iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.

iv) The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam

Age Limit: Category wise age limits for the post of both categories of posts, as on the last date of receipt application, is as under:

Unreserved: 18 to 40 years

OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years

SC: 18 to 45 years

ST(P)/ST(H): 18 to 45 years

PWD: 18 to 50 years

Note: Candidates willing to apply for both the posts have to submit separate application by paying separate application fees.
